I see you, I see you: open the exhibition and work of Lidia León

The work presented at the Venice Biennale in 2019 will be in Centro León until March 2020.

Centro León, Fundación LiLeón and the Italian Embassy in the Dominican Republic left open to the public I see you, I see myself, exhibition and work of Lidia León, in the La Aurora room of the León Center in Santiago.

Composed of an allegorical set of historical and philosophical references, from the shape of the egg, the exhibition invites the visitor to recognize himself in others, to rediscover his deep identity in the image reflected by a mirror.

The exhibition includes a photographic tribute by Maurizio Rossi. These are black and white images of Venetian scenes such as the bottom of the San Marco basin with the Bell Tower, the Basilica, the Doge's Palace, the Plaza and San Giorgio Maggiore.

The homonymous book was presented at the opening ceremony, within the framework of a panel with curators Roberta Semeraro, Iris Peynado and Marianne de Tolentino. This publication will be for sale in the Centro León store.

The independent exhibition was curated by Roberta Semeraro and Iris Peynado, presented at the 58th Venice Biennale Exhibition of 2019, one of the most relevant spaces of contemporary art.

Other related activities will take place in Santo Domingo. On February 3, curator Roberta Semeraro will present a conference on the Venice Biennale in the period 1895-2019. And on February 5 in Quinta Dominica will open the exhibition entitled Tribute to I See You, I See You by the Venetian photographer Maurizzio Rossi.

I see you, Me Veo will be open to the public until March 1 at Centro León, Santiago.
