Cerveza Presidente and Centro León presented the bases Contest Decorate your Barrio 2019, inside the program My Neighborhood is at Christmas, to community organizations, neighborhood boards and the general public residing in Santiago.
The mark President It is added as every year to support the promotion of community unity and the joy that stands out at Christmas, as part of its commitment to the public to offer the best experiences of enjoyment and fun.
In this edition number 13 may participate the neighborhoods of Santiago de los Caballeros, duly represented through their neighborhood boards or corresponding community organizations.
The winning neighborhoods will be selected by a jury composed of representatives of the cultural sector, Cerveza Presidente, media and the León Center, who will value the creativity, originality and thematic messages of the decorations and participatory processes of this activity.
Awards and important dates
The jury may award three first prizes of 100 thousand, 75 thousand and 50 thousand pesos, respectively, and a popular concert in a community space. 40 thousand pesos will also be given to the winner of the Special Novato Award, which is chosen among the communities that participate for the first time in the contest.
Registrations may be made from Friday 1 from November to Monday 2 from December at 9: 00 am to 6: 00 pm at the León Center, 27 Avenue of February number 146, Villa Progreso, Santiago.
The communities can make the decorations until the 4 of December of 2019. The next day, the jury starts the evaluation and selection process. The awards ceremony will take place at the León Center in Santiago de los Caballeros, the December 10 2019.
Christmas concerts in the winning communities will be held on 11, 12 and 13 on December, in a place that will be determined in a timely manner within each community.
About the contest
My Neighborhood is at Christmas It is a social program that generates community participation practices. This program takes the time of Christmas as an opportunity for the neighborhood environment to reflect on the values of collective work in its own environment.
In addition to the contest Decorate your Neighborhood, the program includes other activities to achieve community integration around the festive season such as: workshops for making Christmas decorations with recyclable materials and guided tours to the participating sectors in the contest.
