In this collection are pre-Columbian and colonial objects. Among the pre-Columbian objects belonging to the Taino culture can be seen, such as jars, amulets, necklaces, scratchers and representations of deities. Some of these objects are more than 5,000 years old.
Between the colonial ones they are objects brought by the Spaniards, among them currencies, buttons, bullets, shackles, forks, nails, among others.
This collection is of enormous historical and cultural value, since it dates back to bygone times and allows to know elements of a culture that has practically disappeared in the Dominican Republic today, the Taino culture.
