Curious fact:

The Tainos perfected a social organization aimed at consolidating hierarchies and achieving stability. They used ornaments, like earmuffs, pintaderas, necklaces and others, for different purposes; either as corporal ornaments, as signs of power and even to hierarchize domestic trousseaux.
