Anthropological Collection

Zoomorphic idol possibly representing a manatee, with a large mouth and nose, although the eyes resemble those of a human. The legs consist of appendages not very well defined and has a tail consisting of two protuberances. It has incised decoration on the back of the animal and a flat base.

Curious fact:

The movement of a manatee is suggested in the broken way that the filmmaker plays with the body of the animal. The sensation of movement produced by the curves in the design, the thickness, the incisions and the dimensions of the piece provide this piece with great social and aesthetic significance.
