Documentary photography, horizontal black and white format. The photographic image shows a country scene, from a community in Santiago de los Caballeros. In the left plane of the image, a house of vernacular or popular architecture is observed, built with palm boards and cane-leaf roofs. On both sides of the road, the predominant vegetation in the area is the Palma Real, an endemic plant of the Dominican Republic.
Curious fact:
The photographic image was made by the American soldier Jack McCreary, during the first intervention of the United States of America to the Dominican Republic (1916-1924).
