Curious fact:

The Peace and Confraternity Fair of the Free World, is inaugurated in December of 1955 commemorating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the rise of the regime of the dictator Rafael Leonidas Trujillo. For this celebration, a complex of buildings was built, which for a long time was considered a metaphor for Trujillo's power.
