The wood carving presents a conglomerate of faces, including a skull with the jaw open. Some of the faces have features reminiscent of the cemies created by the Tainos.

Curious fact:
The Taínos carved a large number of cemíes in guayacán wood, which due to its hardness, was carved with flint, quartz, shell or bone instruments.
